I am Art and Laura's granddaughter and as Louie was a very important part of their life he was the same in mine, he may not have been blood but he was family to me. This man was apart of my life since the day I was born and we spent countless birthdays celebrating together (sharing the best birthday month of June together). As a little girl, I would jump all over Uncle Louie and until the last day I saw him I would still give a running start when jumping in for a hug, it was something I always looked forward too was his hugs because they were something of comfort and undeniable love. Everything about Louie was joyous to be around, he was charming, vibrant, funny, and pure of absolute love for everyone around him. I have so many heartwarming memories of holidays, birthdays, and traveling with Louie that I will never forget and I will make sure that wherever I am that his life is being celebrated and that his legacy lives on. May we never be short on wine and until we meet again so that I can jump on your back Uncle Louie, I love you forever.
