Louis   Mattazaro
Louis Donald Mattazaro of Santee, California peacefully passed away on April 2, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Louis was born on June 30, 1935 in New Haven Connecticut son of the late Theresa and Joseph Mattazaro. He was the youngest of three siblings. His family moved from Connecticut to California and resided in Monterey Park, California where he attended school and Pasadena City College majoring in Theater.

Louis had a promising singing and recording career in the 50’s and early 60’s. He recorded and worked at Hollywood’s top recording studio, Gold Star Studio’s and traveled the U.S. performing. In the mid 60’s he moved his family and settled in San Diego where he expanded his family owned CO2 business into the San Diego area. During this time Lou was involved in many entrepreneurial endeavors including owning a stock car based at El Cajon Speedway and developing residential homes. In the late 70’s he sold Speedy Fountain Service to fulfill his lifelong dream of building a recording studio, Natural Sound Recording Studio located in Santee.

Louis enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, was an active member with the El Cajon Kiwanis for many years and performed with the East County Senior Follies.
Louis is survived by his wife Marguerite Mattazaro. He also leaves behind 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
