Vivian Jane McElyea Bass was born June 14, 1945 in Carlisle, Arkansas to loving parents Henry Thomas and Hallibess (Deal) McElyea. She was blessed with three children LaDonna Etheridge, David Etheridge and Deanna Etheridge. She later married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Paul Bass and made her home with him in El Cajon, CA. Later in life she and Paul were blessed with their adopted son, Sean Bass. Vivian was the oldest of four siblings, Martha McElyea Bucker, Gary McElyea and Marilyn McElyea Taylor. She is also survived by several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Bass, daughter, Deanna Lynn Etheridge, parents and grandparents, Ethel Jane (Chandler) Deal and Henry Washington and Chililottie (Ellis) McElyea. Vivian completed her journey June 22, 2022 at home in El Cajon, California.
