Life Story for Thomas Mcneill
On Monday, October 7, 2019, Thomas Guy McNeill, loving husband and dedicated father, passed away at the age of 60.
Tom was born on January 13, 1959 in San Diego, California. He was a high school and college athlete and attended Grossmont College. He worked for Bank of America as a young man, as his father did. There he met his wife, Karen McNeill. On December 9, 1982 they were married and raised two sons, Justin and Brandon. Tom later worked in construction and development for many years, which led him to commercial real estate.
Tom was an outdoorsman, gardener, sports fan, lover of labradors, grill master, breakfast chef, and builder of stairs. He spent a lifetime of weekends working on house and yard projects with Karen. He will be fondly remembered as the epitome of a family man. He loved his family more than there are stars in the sky. As the patriarch, he fiercely loved his entire family and was fiercely loved in return.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Jacqueline McNeill. He is survived by his wife Karen; sons Justin and Brandon, daughter-in laws Brittany and Kelly, and proud Papa to grandsons Liam and Finley. Tom is the only brother to three sisters; Robynn, Pamela and Karen. He is survived by a wonderful family including his Uncle Charles, nephews, nieces, cousins, as well as other family, close friends and co-workers. His beautiful life will be forever cherished in the hearts of loved ones.
