I played golf with Simon at Willowbroook for many years. He had a great love of the game and he played it with intensity and integrity. He had a quick and dry sense of humor. I still remember many of the memorable things he said on the golf course. We still use his term "proviso" when hitting a provisional golf ball. I have always believed that you learn a man's character by playing golf with him. Simon was a good man and a person of great character. It was apparent by listening to him that he loved his wife, his home and his dogs. I will miss him a great deal. I will mourn his loss and rejoice in his memory.
