Selim was born in Telkaif, Iraq. He was the son of Elias Shakouri Hanish & Saro Murad Jarboa.
He is survived by his:
Wife, Souhayla Barbat Hanish
Son, Sarmad
Daughters; Sahar, Sana, Suhad, Sundus, & Sara

The Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 at 11:00 am in St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral 1627 Jamacha Way El Cajon, CA 92019, with Graveside Services to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and attendance. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic there will not be a public luncheon reception. Per the family's request, please offer your condolences either at St. Peter's Chaldean Catholic Cathedral or at Holy Cross Cemetery.
