November 20, 1974 to April 22, 2022
Samir Asad Abbo, engineering leader and resident of Carlsbad, California passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Sam was husband to Wendy Abbo, father to Ethan and Christian Abbo.
He was the son of Dr. Asad K. Abbo and Dr. Samira A. Shamoun and brother of Nick Abbo.
Sam was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was the #1 Charger fan and enjoyed racing his Charger Hellcat. He spent time preparing for his diving certifications and enjoyed rescue and wreck diving. His favorite dive spot was Cozumel, Mexico and Maui, Hawaii. Sam was an avid fan of the Marvel cinematic universe. “The measure of a person, of a hero…is how well they succeed at being who they are”. You could always catch him cooking great meals for family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Sam was a light for us all and we are holding a viewing before the service should you want to say goodbye. Viewing will be held at the church starting at 10:30 AM PT on the same day at St. Peter foyer area.
The funeral service will be held at St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral
