Obituary for Robert Jones

Robert Jones
Robert "Bobby" Allen Jones, was given his Angel Wings on January 23, 2021. He was born to parents Jesse & Bertha Jones on June 16, 1953 in San Diego, CA. He grew up in North Park, graduated from San Diego High School in 1971 and retired from Deluxe Check Printing Co. in 2004.

Bobby was a one of a kind guy with an infectious laugh you could hear a mile away. A genuine father, grandfather and friend, known by all for his generosity, giving heart and witty humor. In his younger years, he played baseball for San Diego High School, married and had three children. He loved to take his family camping on the beaches of Ensenada, Mexico, and on trips to the old Family Fun Center, and Marshal Scotty's. In his golden years, he could be found almost nightly at his favorite watering hole, Filippi's Pizza Grotto in Mira Mesa, talking Baseball and Football and enjoying "just a splash" or three of Chianti. He loved and cherished his kids, each of his eight grandkids and his Filippi's family.

Bobby is survived by his children, Robert Jones, wife Lea Ann and Grandson Riley of Lakeside, CA, Benjamin Jones, wife Roseangela and Grandsons Austin, Dominic and Diego of Lakeside, CA, and Kimbralee Guada, husband Janus and Grandchildren Emilee, Ayden, Anthony and Joyelle of Yorktown, VA. Also survived by his sister Cheryl Rhodes of Lehi, UT, Nephew Ryan Rhodes and wife Michelle of Ogden, UT and his very best friend and Life Partner, Julie Chapman.

We Thought of You Today

We thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence
...We often speak your name
All we have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
with which we'll never part.
God has you in His keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
