Phyllis Irene Smith was born in San Diego, CA, on March 28th, 1948 to Martha and John Craig. Phyllis grew up in San Diego along her best friend Geri and had careers at the Sports Arena, as a dental assistant, and spent her last working years before retiring as a claim assistant at AIG after 16 years. May 26th, 1970 Phyllis and her then husband Perfecto brought home a baby boy, Perfecto Andrew Diaz the 3rd (Andy). Two years later, April 16,1972 they brought home a beautiful baby girl Angelina Irene Diaz. Phyllis was a loving mother who ended up the neighborhood mom as the kids grew up and brought friends home. Phyllis then married the love of her life Loren Eugene Smith on September 9, 1990. Loren supported, cared for and loved Phyllis until the end. Phyllis will be remembered by her lipstick kisses, and as a loving, spunky, and caring women. Phyllis is survived by her husband Loren, sister Suzy, grand daughters Kaitlin and Suzy, and her precious Annie.
Preceded in death her son Andy, daughter Angie, and granddaughter Marisa.
