Obituary

Leonardo Sciuto, age 88, passed on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Leonardo was born June 7, 1931, in Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, and came to America in search of a better life. Affectionately known as Uncle Lenny to many, he is survived by his children, Nina Sciuto Delgado, Philip Sciuto (Maria), Vita Thiel (David), Claire Berlinsky (Lee), and his grandchildren, Sarena Delgado Werlau, Michelle Delgado Caamano, Matthew Delgado, Celina Sciuto, Andrew Sciuto, Sam Thiel, Thomas Thiel, and Jack Berlinsky. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren. Leonardo was predeceased by his brothers, Gaspare and Salvatore, and is survived by his sister, Chiara Sciuto Vultaggio. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins (Sciuto, Vultaggio, Mauro, Ingrande, Morales), as well as friends who cherished him throughout his life. Viewing at East County Mortuary, 374 N. Magnolia Avenue, El Cajon, CA. 92020 from 5:30-8:30pm, July 5. Funeral mass at 9:00am on July, 8, Our Lady of the Rosary, 1688 State St. San Diego. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Diego. REST IN PEACE Papa!
