Kathleen Mary Moore was born in Kansas to Irene and Cecil Moore on October 25, 1938. She is the second of four children. She is predeceased by her brother, Chuck and her sister, Eileen. Her sister Joan Snell resides in Burchard, Nebraska. Joan came to Escondido in May to be Kathleen’s caregiver. By profession, Kathleen was a teacher and her career spanned over forty years. In the beginning of her career, she taught primary grade students in California. Then she went to Staten Island, New York where she taught Religious Studies at St. Joseph Hill Academy. The most gratifying part of her career was the years she spent teaching Special Ed students at L.R. Green Elementary School in Escondido, California. Kathleen will be remembered for her bright, engaging smile, her cheerfulness, her sense of humor and her warm, generous hospitality. Kathleen enjoyed watching adventure and nature movies. Her love of animals knew no bounds. Her dog, Jedda and her African Gray parrot, Mollie, gave her much joy and comfort. Kathleen will be missed by her family and friends all of whom were blessed to have Kathleen be a part of their lives.
