Obituary

Kathy is survived by her husband Richard of 64 years and her sons Rick and Roger along with 7 beautiful grandchildren and 7 amazing great-grandchildren. Kathy was born in San Diego on April 10th, 1934 and was married in Hawaii while Richard served in the US Marine Corps. During her working years Kathy was a hairstylist and owned her own beauty salon. She loved to travel and enjoyed multiple cruises around the world with her husband along with making some great family memories in Hawaii, the Colorado River and the Sand Dunes. Kathy enjoyed sewing, crafting and playing cards with her friends while living in East County. She enjoyed taking walks with their beloved Yorkie, Chelsie and several road trips across the country in their RV.

We will miss her dearly.

My dear beautiful Nanny. Your smile is like sunshine, radiating with energy. I cherish every moment, every memory, every lesson, every hug, and every tear shared with you. You filled my life with joy, happiness, laughter, and grace. I’m so grateful for every visit in the past few years to be by your side one more time, and for your great grandkids to be there too. We all love you so much and would give anything to hug you again, but we are filled with joy knowing that you are now at peace in all your beauty and all your grace. I will do my best to honor you for the rest of my days through the way I choose to love and serve my own family as you did so well with your own. Love you always xoxo

RIP Aunt Kathy. You were as beautiful on the inside as you were on the outside. My first time eating an artichoke was with you. Your English toffee recipe is the best. I am honored to have your name as my confirmation name. I miss receiving your Christmas cards which always were the first to arrive every year. Sending big hugs and lots of love to Uncle Dick, Rick & Roger and their families. Love, Patti & Dan
