Obituary for Jeanette Griffin
Our Mother Jeanette Griffin went home to be with the Lord March 23, 2023. She was the last of 12 brothers and sisters and her Mother and Father who ushered her to sit at the feet of the Lord.
She is survived by her six children: Jacci Hunter-Mayfield ( Son- Christopher Mayfield ), Jerome Hunter ( Sons- Jr, Jermaine, Jordon and Jared ), Joselyn Thomas ( Daughters- Jeanna Hunter, Mellissa Dickerson and Tanisha Dickerson), Jeffery Hunter ( Son- Nigel Hunter and Daughter Rachael Hunter), Moses F. Williams Jr. ( Daughter- Pashian Williams), LaVerne Miller ( Son- Terrance K. Miller and Daughter Keisha R. Miller).
A host of Great Grand children, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a proud 92 year old who carried it well. She was a soul that never met a stranger and would spark up a conversation with anyone willing to talk. She loved to cook and if you came to her house you would never leave hungry. She also loved playing dominoes and spades ( bid whist back in the day) and there would always be some blues playing in the background. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren of which she had many and would brag on them to everyone about their individual accomplishments.
She also deeply loved the Lord, so when she moved to the San Diego area she found a church home at First Baptist Church in El Cajon. She was in constant prayer and always said she never prayed a prayer the Lord didn’t answer. She also read her bible and daily bread everyday. There is no pain for her anymore, for she she is seated at the the table of Lord. Rest well Jeanie, rest well. You are gone today but FOREVER in our hearts. We were Blessed to have called you Mom.
