Gerald Arthur Cowle, age 72, of Lakeside California, died April 1, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends. Born September 1, 1946, in Great Lakes, Illinois, Jerry was the oldest son of the late Roland Cowle, Jr and Doris (Brown). Jerry was raised in a military family that moved to several states. He graduated from Woodlands Union High School, in Three Rivers, California in 1961. Jerry served 22 years in the U.S. Navy, with an honorable discharge, and 29 years civil service in San Diego, California. He was known for his quick wit, good nature and humor. Jerry was always there to lend a hand or help you in any way he could. He was a kind and strong man that liked to ride his Harley anywhere the wind blew.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda (Redman); 3 step children: Jason & wife Laura McElveny, and Devin McElveny: three step grandchildren: Allison, Daniel and Diego McElveny; and a brother Michael Cowle.

Memorial Service: Miramar National Cemetery, 10:30 am, April 22, 2019, with full military honors.
