Beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Cassie Cantrell unexpectedly passed away at the age of 16 on March 26, 2021. Born in Redding, CA on August 7, 2004 to her mother, Chris Panos, Cassie grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to San Diego, CA.

Cassie had a passionate love for horses and was a dedicated equestrian. She was mature beyond her years, introspective, and an extremely committed student who excelled in everything she put her heart into. She had a deep love for her family and was a loyal friend to many. She loved the finer things in life and displayed a strong and gracious spirit.

Cassie is survived by her grandfather, Gus Panos; aunts Dianne (Tad) Taube, and Nadine Panos; cousins, Travis and Zak Taube, Whitney Leak, and Haley Akchurin. She now joins her loving cousin, Tyler Akchurin, in Heaven.

From kindergarten costumes to full-fledged horse woman ... she was an excellent athlete, student and friend. Cassie brought her spunk and curiosity into everything she did. Now, when she asks, "Why?" she gets to ask the One with All the answers! Our prayers go out to each of the Panos and Cantrell families. May the Lord give you strength, Chris, during this very hard time.

The Cantrell family in Redding, California was so fortunate to have enjoyed and loved you in the early years of your life. We thought of you every day and wished we had been allowed to enjoy your youth and teen years, too. We trust that God with care for you with grace and love. Grandma MARJY Cantrell
