Bonnie Jane Chandler (nee Groff) was born in Los Angeles, California on January 9, 1934 and passed away in Chula Vista, CA on April 12, 2021 at the age of 87, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. For the majority of her adult life, Bonnie resided in Costa Mesa, CA. Due to a decline in her health she moved to San Diego in 2015 to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. In her youth, Bonnie worked as a model and enjoyed being in front of the camera. Later in her life, after being widowed, she also worked as a bookkeeper.
Bonnie will be remembered as someone full of life, who loved to laugh, sing and dance. In her later years, she appreciated spending time with her family, reading true crime and reminiscing about her youth.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter Pamela Clinch-Nagy and son-in-law David M. Nagy of Bonita, CA. A son, Garth N. Chandler of Helsinki, Finland. One sister, Charlsie P. Case of Downey, CA, and two grandsons Charles W. Clinch of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Matthew D. Nagy of San Diego, CA.
