Obituary for Armando Sanchez

Armando “Mando” Sanchez was born to the late Genovevo and Juana Sanchez of Jacumba CA. Armando is loved by many and his eternal life will be cherished by all.
He worked for the Railroad in Jacumba with the bridge crew as a carpenter (10 years). In 1968 he moved to Alpine and worked in construction and retired from Tom C. Dyke Drilling and Blasting in 2003.
He is survived by the love of his life Vonnie (50 years) and their sons Armando (Josalynn) and Miguel (Cristine). He is also survived by his daughters Lidia, Sandra (Steven) and Rachel creating a beautiful blended family.
He is also blessed with the love of his grandchildren Ashlee (Tim), Alyssa, Miguel, Bradlee, Ryann, Brooke, Mason and great granddaughter Aspen. He was one of 14 siblings and leaves behind Alice (Richard), Stephan, Robert (Susan), Ruben (Beverly), Dave (Beth) and many nieces and nephews.
Armando was a devoted father, husband, Brother, Papa, Grandpa and friend of many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends camping and traveling. He also had a passion for reading his daily newspaper gardening, tending to his fruit trees, and watching the Padres. His weekends were spent attending grandchildren’s sporting events and snacking on graham crackers with his “little one”, Kona.
Together as a family we are sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss.
Gone but not forgotten, you will be in our hearts forever!
