Life Story for Armando Aguilar
Armando Gandara Aguilar passed away on January 15, 2020 in El Cajon, California. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his son Carlos Aguilar and his wife Leslie, daughters Veronica McClure and her husband Larry, Sandra Cavazos and her husband Jeremy, Angelica Drapeau and her husband Marco, Adriana Nixon and her husband James, and his 12 grandkids Lexi, Sabrina, Jessica, Jacob, Jeremy, Annabel, Maddie, Natalie, Gabrielle, Mya, Sofia, and Kiara.
Armando was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on September 27, 1946. He married Andrea Estrada in 1966 and together they had five children. Armando and Andrea moved to California in the 70’s in search of a better life. Armando was a skilled shipbuilder and had a long career at NASSCO in San Diego.
Armando was known by his family as a great dancer and cook. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease. Armando also had a great passion for gardening and was very proud of the many trees and plants on his property in Alpine, CA. Armando was loved by his family and friends, they will remember him as a great provider and protector of his family.
Viewing for Armando will be held at the East County Mortuary Chapel located at 374 N. Magnolia El Cajon, CA 92019 on Thursday January 23rd, 2020 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Service for Armando will follow the viewing at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be held immediately after the service at the Singing Hills Memorial Park located at 2800 Dehesa Rd, El Cajon CA, 92019.
