On Thursday, November 8, 2018, Thomas Gaetano Scarcella, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by family.
Thomas was born on July 23, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan to Nicolo and Agatha (Bomerito) Scarcella.
He served in the Korean War with honors and was a plasterer by trade for over 40 years.
On April 11, 1964, he married Josephine Diane Busalacchi, together they raised two daughters Antoinette (Pietro Lo Coco), Michelle (Salvatore Tarantino) and 6 grandchildren, Frankie, Joe (Jenna), Nicholas, Vincenzo, Gabriella Katerina and Isabella.
He was known for his infectious personality and warm smile. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation to be held at East County Mortuary on November 15, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral to be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on November 16, 2018 Mass at 9:00 a.m. with Interment to follow.
